I have had this several years. I had surgery twice and each time lost some vision. I told the doctor I will not have it again, even if I do go blind. However, while you may lose vision in the center of your eye, you will probably keep vision around it. You will still be able to function. My doctor says you won't go completely blind. And the dry kind is not as good as the wet kind, but a person can live with it.
