Dear Teresa, I am sorry to hear this about your mother. I also suffer from this and am goiing back and forth to the doctor and hospital. I have a hernia. The next test they run on me will be an esophageal monometry to determine the PH in my stomach. Based on the results of this test I will probably have my hernia removed. I also get some releif from Nexium and an occational shot of phenergan (50mg) the rest of the time I use either phenergan tablets or supositories (25 mg). It is my understanding acid reflux can lead into cancer. If your Mom is not getting the help she needs by all means change doctors. If that doesn't help change doctor's again.
