I know. I have a friend who is going through the same thing. She hasn't been able to go to work or school on a regular basis because of acid reflux. She used to take ginger tea, and some pills from the health food store, but now they don't seem to relieve her anymore. The doctors here in our town don't seem to know much on this disease. We're hoping that we can get our friend a referral to Duke Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. Durham is called the "City of Medicine". People come from all over the USA to Duke Hospital. It is well-known, and also Chapel Hill Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. These two cities are highly regarded for their fine reputation in medicine. I've been to both hospitals seeking medical help for family members, and from what I have observed, the physicians at these two facilities are the "cream of the crop", the best that I have ever seen. I have been searching the internet for some more info on this disease in hopes of helping those who suffer with it, but no one seems to know what really causes acid reflux. If I find out more about it, I'll keep you posted. Let's ask the Creator to guide our steps and help us to help those who are battling with this terrible illness.
