My 3 year old daughter has had fifth's disease for 2-3 months! Her fever lasted about a week or 2 the first month. Now into the 3rd month her fever has returned and she still has a little of the "lacey rash" on her arms. And she is also now a little lethargic and won't eat as much. Is it common for someone to get a fever so late after the initial diagnosis? Her doctor doesn't seem to think a blood test will tell us anything. I think one is necessary in order to rule out anything else. Did your son have a fever after his initial diagnosis? If so, for how long?
