I have had such awful pains in my stomach and had to be rushed to emergency at least 2 times a month. The pain was so bad and I was vomiting with such force they had to stomach tube me. I went to every Dr in the area and then flew to Mayo Clinic to do more tests. No one could find out what was wrong but my stomach would shut down . I had a hysterectomy and my Gall Bladder removed because of this problem and it did not help. I own a business and could not even go to work anymore. My life was at a dead-end and then they said well we will operate and take your intestines out and explore. I had the blood tests to prepare for the major surgery. At this point I had given up and the Drs had given up also. Then I went to a allergy Dr the day before surgery and she checked me for Celiac. The test came back positive. I quit eating flour and in 3 days I was cured and have never been back in the hospital for 1 year. They said my case was so bad that it had shut down my stomach. I am healthy and happy now. Why don't more Drs test for this? I called my Dr and he said OH that is not what is wrong with you. Well it worked and I am not sick anymore. I tell people I meet if you have bloated stomachs,diarea,constipation and feel bad then try not eating and Malt,Flour,Barley for 3 days. I know other people are suffering from this and if it does not get out about Celiac then they will just go on suffering. Why after 3 years and thousands of dollars later didnt one Dr test me?
