Have your Dad try out Imitrex nasal spray (20mg). I've had migraines since I was 11 - I'm now 38, and this is the only thing that stops it in its tracks. If the pain is severe, get a prescription for Fiorinol with 1/2 grain codeine, and combine it with the Imitrex. Good luck.
