Jami - consider sensory integration therapy. It is a little controversial but I have heard of many cases where it has worked extremely well. We received some relief with it. Our son is 9, extremely sensitive to touch. He had months of sensory therapy and then 6 months ago we did "brushing therapy" with him. Again, not many OT"s know about this stuff but it's real, it can work in the right instance and for any parent going through this, it's worth a shot. I hope this info is helpful.
