SECONDARY INFERTILITY

I will just be starting Clomid next month and I was excited that my doctor was finally able to help me after 19 months of trying. I was surprised though that my doctor did not want to do any testing to make sure that there might be some reason that we havn't been getting pregnant. Is this normal practice? Does the Clomid not really work? Do you know if there's a really high risk of multiples taking it? I'd be blessed to have any more children, so it wouldn't bother me to have multiples - I was just wondering. I wish the doctor would have given me a little more information about the whole thing. I think she thinks that because I have another child and I'm still young that I should be greatful and not worry about it so much. It's very frustrating trying to explain to people that yes, I do love my son very much and I am blessed to have him. But there is more love in my heart to give. I also want my son to have siblings. I can't imagine what life would have been like not having a brother. My husband has four bro and sisters and he can't imagine it either. I think one of the greatest gifts parents can give their children is siblings. That's why it breaks my heart every month when the preg test comes up negative. I was hoping that finally I could have some real hope that I might get pregnant, but everyone I talk to that has the same problems say that the Clomid didnt' work that they had to rely on some other treatment. Did your doctors explain anything more to you about this? Or tell you what comes next if this doesnt work? I guess I should give it a chance. I just dont' want to set myself up for another let down. Know what I mean? If you have any advice to give, please do. Thanks!
