I attended a wedding 6 weeks ago where the music was loud, but not so loud that should cause tinnitus. But since that night, I have had a ringing in my ears, which is louder/worse in my right ear. My ear specialist says the fact that it is worse in one ear may indicate a (brain) tumor putting pressure on a nerve which in turn causes the ringing. But if there is no tumor (which I will find out about next week when I have an MRI) then it is just tinnitus, and I should "learn to live with it". My hearing test showed my hearing to be normal. I don't notice the ringing much during the day since there are so many other noises. But at home, when it's quiet and when I go to bed, it's maddening and very upsetting. I've read that Vitamin B6 and the herb Gingko Biloba may help. Has it helped anyone reading this??? If so, what dosage do you take, and how long did it take before you felt some relief? I would truly be grateful for any response- thanks
