Hi Jason- My doctor tells me it is possible that the ringing will get better with time, either because I'll just get more used to it and accept it as normal background noise, or because it will actually lessen (I hope). But according to some of the reading I've done, some people do not get better and even experience hearing loss with tinnitus. But I'm trying not to worry about that because it may never happen to me. I actually have not even accepted that this is permanent, although I know it could be. Instead, I'm hoping that the vitamins will truly help. I usually freak out about the tinnitus at night when it's quieter and I'm more aware of it. It really can be scary and depressing. I'm actually thinking about talking with a therapist about how to deal with this better. I normally think therapy isn't for me, but I'll try anything that might help me get happy again. How are you doing? Do you know anyone else with this problem...a friend or family member who can relate to you? Feel free to email me too at ajc44244@aol.com.
