I have a 13 year old daughter who is bi-polar. I have been diagnosed with the condition since I was 25 and I have a father and 2 brothers who also have this condition. (We have a shallow gene pool) Since my daugher has been on Lithium therapy she has made great improvement. She also takes Prozac and Buspar. It took 2 years to get her levels right, but for the fist time I am starting to see my daughter come back. Self esteme has played a great role in her recovery. I was very selective who I told (teachers, firends) about her therapy but she is well on her way. I pray your daughter and husband find the right cocktail of medications to enable them to be happy and feel productive.
