Zipper
Hi there, I'm sorry to hear that you are having neck problems. I've had neck problems for many, many years. I've had surgery twice on my neck and am looking at a possible third. I never worried about being paralyzed or dying because I trusted my doctor tremendously. There is always a risk though...any time you have to be put to sleep there is a chance of not waking back up, and there is always a chance that your doc could make a mistake Do you have problems with your spinal cord? What type of surgery are we talking about? Are we talking a little tune-up or a major over-haul? I've had one of each and niether was exactly a picnic, but I did get relief for quite some time after the surgery. The decision for surgery should not be made in haste...wiegh all of the circumstances...pain, mobility, sleep, loss of strength or sensation, does the problem itself pose a threat to your life, how good is your relationship with your doctor, are there other alternatives, etc. etc, etc. Send an e-mail and let me know what's up. Zipper (by the way my husband gave me this nickname because I have surgical scars on both the front and back of my neck-- he says they look like a zipper to him)
