Is this the same as fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS)? FMS is a painful disorder that is hard to diagnose and usually includes low energy, irritible bowel syndrome, muscle inflamation around the joints, many allergies like to medication, tenderness in the myofacial pressure points, depression and sleep disorder. There is no drug of choice to treat it but one of the first goals is to establish regular night time sleep habits so the pain will go away and your body can restore its energy through sufficient REM. The Arthritis Foundation has good materials, there's loads of info on the Internet and a rheumatologist who familiar with it can diagnose FMS best. Many doctors think the illness doesn't exist because they never learned about it in med school and the diagnosis is a fairly new one. Good luck on getting help. I would have some suggestions for relief if you haven't already been bombarded with lots.
