My daughter, 11 1/2 years old, has been diagnosed the osteomyelitis, but the germ is unknown. The pathologist was unable to culture anything from the tissue and bone samples taken during her biopsy. She also has not had any trauma--fractures, surgeries (other than the biopsy), or open wounds. Has anybody ever heard of an individual having osteomyelitis without the germ being identified?
