Nulytely or Fleet Prep

I had a colonoscopy on 4-6-01 for screening purposes (father died of colon cancer at age 51 years). After reading about problems with Fleet's which was prescribed for me, I decided to research out what to do and asked several professionals, did readings, etc. Here's what worked for me: I ate lightly for the 2 days prior to using the Fleet's Prep. No red meat. Had cheerios or oatmeal for breakfast, had light non-fatty sandwich on whole grain bread with soup or salad and similar lite fare for dinner. I really worked on pushing fluids for the two days prior to the exam. I did not have the cramping that some wrote about. I passed a lot of liquids after the colon was cleansed of solids, but it was NOT that uncomfortable. Had used a similar product for an IVP years ago and had lots of pain. Fortunately, I did better this time and was able to get a full night's rest prior to the exam. Would recommend asking your health care provider, especially diabetics or those with other health problems, if this regimen might be helpful to concerned folks out there.
