My Grandaughter was in the hospital a couple of months ago with Cronic Pancreatitis and almost died. Alcohol was the cause and it took me and the rest of the family by surprise. We had no idea that she was drinking. She denies being an alcoholic and is drinking wine coolers now. She and her live in boyfriend believe that the wine coolers won't hurt her. I am totally at loss of what to do. Her father lives in another state and she won't listen to her mother. Is there anyone who has been the route and knows the seriousness of drinking acohol when having this disease? Any advice or information would be appreciated. This girl has lived a life of hell. Raised by alcoholic parents, was raped at 12 years old, pregnant & married at15, lost two little boys in a fire eight years ago. Now she has a four year old daughter, whom we are all concerned about too. She will not seek therapy, nor go to AA. She is in complete denial.
