My mother has been hopitalized at a local hospital, due to some numbness and tingling in her finger-tips and toes. Her legs have also been weak. She has had a difficult time walking around, and the doctor ordered for her to be on bed-rest, until he can make proper diagnosis of her symptoms. She was in the hospital earlier this week because her blood pressure was high. It was 173/100. I believe that it was due to the fact that she had taken over the counter diet pill, which elevated her blood pressure, for she has never had a problem with her blood pressure or any other illnesses. She stopped taking the pills last week when she began to feel the tingling in her extremities. She has had the tingling and her blood pressure has been for the past week. The doctor made a speculation to her problem. He is speculating that she may have Guillian Barre syndrome. Please send me your response and advice in this matter. I need more information on the syndrome.
