My husband is presently under medical treatment for osteomyelitis and is receiving antibotics intravenously. He has had the 5th toe of his left foot amputated and the foot has been debried twice extensively to the point of exposing the bone. He had been in the hospital and a nursing facility but is presently at home receiving the IV therapy. He is being treated by the staff physicans of a wound care facility that is highly recommended for it's expert care. We live in the Prince Georges County, Maryland area. His condition started with a skin abrasion from athletic shoes and was compounded because of athlete's foot fungus and self-treatment before seeking medical treatment.
