I sure know what you are going through!! My daughter is 13 and has suffered with encopresis since she was 2!! She also didn't talk understandably till she was past 5! She gets good grades now but is suffering depression and is on anti-depressants. She is now overweight (4'9" 184 lbs.!)We are at our wits end. She is immature for her age and she always plays with younger children. She is also VERY sensitive! The doctors just keep giving her laxatives like they have since she was 2. She suffers with stomach pains and constipation, soiling, etc. which causes her to miss a lot school. We are considering surgery, but the doctors frown on it. I would like to know how your son is now since you wrote this message. Thank You.
