Well, after being diagnosed with a pituitary adenoma in 1991, I have just discovered that I have Cushing's Disease. Why, I wonder, was I never tested for this insideous thing?I have had every single symptom: it took a neurosurgeon placing me on dexamethasone therapy for my neck and back which instantly turned my life around! I have been on this therapy for 2.5 weeks and feel ten years younger. I have lost 10 pounds, my bruising has stopped, my energy level is up, my migraines have stopped, a total quality of life change. I am not sure that I understand why this drug therapy has had such a radical effect on me. Can someone else who has taken this medication respond? I know it is not the optimal long term treatment, but it is better than loading up on Immitrix and other pain medication every week. I can't believe how much better I feel! Thanks for your responses.
