I have narrow angle glaucoma, diagnosed in the early 1970's. First initial treatment was laser surgery in both eyes with subsequent treatment of eye drops four times daily for many years. In 1990, I once again had laser surgery in both eyes at two month intervals with no subsequent problems and not having to use eye drops and I have kept my pressure down since. I have not had any problems since 1990 so I think do what it takes. Laser surgery to the eyes is not that uncomfortable and glaucoma can be treatable. My first initial attack when diagnosed was pressure of 55, give or take a few numbers, in both eyes. I was in the danger zone of losing my vision. I thank God for my physicians, Dr Taylor in Amarillo, Texas and Dr Gourley in Edmond, Oklahoma.
