My husband had surgery for a complete tear. It took about 8months for him to walk without a limp. It was his left leg so there was no issue with driving. He had second surgery for a repair of the incision site.(a string was coming out through the skin)Now, a year and half later, site is still tender. Extensive running causes pain still.
