Hi Sara, I was just recently diagnosed with lymphedema. One thing that caught my eye is that usually lymphedema only affects one limb. If you are experiencing swelling in both legs, you shouldhave your kidneys and abdomen checked for blockages. I have been going through process of elimination tests to know for sure. If you suspect lymphedema, then go see a vascular specialist who treats lymphedema. Then check out the National Lymphedema Network. They can point you to physical therapists in your area.
