I was wondering how long it has taken people with bladder problems to be diagnosed? I have been in pain for a month and have seen my regular doctor, a GYN, a gastro specialist, and finally a urologist. It all started with a pain in the lower left abdomen and bowel problems. The bowel problems have gotten better and was told by specialist may have been caused by antibotic taken 3 months ago. Still having pain in LLA as well as during sex and internal exam. Also have pain in lower back now. I am 30 years old and have 2 kids(big 9lbs) naturally. I have had a ct scan, blood test, urine test, pap smear,pelvic ultrasound. All showed nothing. I went to see the urologist yesterday, he said well your urine has no bacteria or blood. I had told him that none showed in other tests either. Then he checked with ultrasound and said everything looks normal. Did internal sonagram (pain, pain) Oh well that is your bladder you will have to have another test when you come back. We will check bladder function but of course has no time for 2 weeks. So I went home in more pain than I had before and was told things I already knew. I am becoming so frustrated sometimes want to scream. Hope to get some answers soon.
