Hello, My Father (age 68) suffered a stroke during an angiogram 3 weeks ago. He has been diagnosed with receptive and expressive Aphasia. His progress has been termed as "very good" by his Occupational & Speech therapists throughout the last three weeks. His physical state is excellent, with PT stating "No additional goals" for therapy at this point. He has started outpatient therapy in both Occupational and Speech as of today...8-21-00. He is an extremely active person in this small town community, owning his own business as a Barber for 40 years and contributing his efforts in the form of local community organizations (serving as the current President of one) and helping many others. I am searching for help in any way, shape or form to get my Father back to his past productive life. If anyone can give me any information on resources for websites, chat rooms and support material concerning receptive and expressive Aphasia, it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all for your time, and hope to hear from anyone soon. God Bless, Chuck ChazTee@aol.com
