First you should know that we get folicles EVERY time we ovulate. They are what pushs the egg through. They are like tiny fingers that help keep things moving. A follicle is not a bad thing. Are you sure she didn't say you had a Cyst??? most of us get these as well from time to time and they do gennerally correct themselves. I am assuming you had an ultrasound done to try and determine what was going on. If it has been a few months than you may want to ask for another one to see if the cyst (?) is getting bigger....If it ruptures it can be quite painful. They can also be surgically removed. If you think you may have PCOS your doctor should be able to look at you and suspect this. The other characteristics of this would be Overweight, oily skin prone to blemishes, depening of your voice and other things associated with having too much testosterone in your body. A simple blood test would show abnormal levels.. Also you would get cysts...ALOT!!!!! It would be a major problem!!!! The other possiblity is endometriosis. this causes painful ovulation, periods and sex. You would have to have a laperoscopy to determine if this is your problem. I've had endo for 20 yrs. If you want to talk about symptoms or finding a good doctor let me know. I'd be happy to talk to you! Kimrobzak@aol.com Good LUck!!! Kimb
