Hello. I have been dating a gentlemen for a while and we are in the process of discussing entering into a sexual relationship. Last night, we had a talk and he explained that he was being treated for HPV/Genital Warts. I am relieved that he brought this to my attention prior to our beginning intimate relations, but also concerned about the consequences of becoming involved with someone who has a communicable STD. He is a wonderful, loving man. I have grown to have respect, concern, and affection for him and hate to see this relationship end. But, after doing some research on HPV, have found it to be incurable and highly contagious. Does anyone have any suggestions? Have you had to confront a situation of this nature and if so, what was the outcome? I was tested recently for all STD's and received negative results on everything. I plan to keep it that way, but I hate to end my relationship with this loving, honest man. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
