Tina McLean
Hi Geri, I was diagnosed with ST in July of this year by a movement disorder neurologist after a persistent trek on my part to get answers. I only began having symptoms in May. Mine is anteriocollis where my head is pulled forward, muscles on left side of neck begin to spasm along with a head tremor where my head shakes up and down. I am just now beginning to experience neck pain, whereas before I felt a "stifness" , a pu;;ing/tightening sensation in the head and neck and a feeling of compression in the larynx but without pain Other symptoms I experience are tremor in the torso and left hand, tingling in hands and feet, constant numbness in left big toe. This is all so bizarre to me as I have never had anything wrong with me and have been very ahtletic all my life. I am getting a 2nd opinion on 9/7 from the same type of Dr. at USC. I would love to hear your story, Do you share any of my symptoms? Are you taking any treatments? I do not feel I am at that stage yet. I can still drive since my head is pulled down and not to the side. By the way I am most affected when driving, sitting in church or at a meeting, standing in line. Please write me back and let me know how things are going for you. Have you joined any of the support groups that are out there? Tina
