YES, picking up your dog could have contributed to your cyst bursting. But, it could have already been ready to burst. Sometimes..those kinds of events..are "meant to be." Cysts are something that you WANT to know you have. They can grow quite big and be more trouble later. .... l5 years ago I helped my sons pick up some heavy lumber, and I heard something move in my abdominal wall. It wasn't for another year or so that I (accidentally) found out that I had three hernias in my abdominal wall. I had those repaired, and now I've got three more (mirror-image hernias). I am a woman. People don't think that women can get hernias, but they can.
