I have colon cancer and underwent chemo for 12 weeks and brachytherapy..high dose radiation seed implant surgery and then 5 weeks of external beam radiation. I too am plagued with extreme pain in the area that was radiated. Necrosis has set in on the soft tissue and the doctors cannot tell me if the wound will ever heal. Maybe the pain your daughter is experiencing is caused from delayed radiation effects....my pain didn't start until 10 weeks after the radiation was over. It has continued with no let up for the past 12 weeks now and the doctor cannot give me a time for healing....It is a one day at a time response for me. God Bless my friend:)
