I used to suffer from chronic back pain for about ten years and recently got over it to the point where my back has never felt so good. My advice to you is to go to your doctor, but don't make the same mistakes that I did for years. My doctor didn't like chiropractors, so he always sent me to physical therapists. They could never help me. I had two 1-hour visits to a chiropractor and was relieved of my pain. Streching hamstrings and excersize helps to maintain a healthy back. If you did't fall or have a trauma you probably have some strained muscels. Your doctor can give you anti-inflamatory drugs to help and pain medication. I used to put my life on hold and lay on the floor all day and night and trust me, this only makes it harder and more painful for your back to heal. Good luck.
