Sara, There are clinics and hospitals you can go to that will treat you regaurdless of your ability to pay. Why are you not getting state aid? Gangreen is not something you just "get". Unless you have diatbeties or someother underlying condition, in which case you need medical treatment. but it would be characterized by it's apperance. The area would be green or black and look like dead tissue, that is what it is. A hariline fx would most liekly NOT cause this problem. You could have arthritis in the area of the brake. that is a more likely answer. Go to the doctor!
