My husband was told he had abdominal aorotic aneurysm 2 years ago. He is 48 years old. He had CT scan a few days ago(He had to ask for it) they found it is now 4.9 centimeters, he had stress test and is waiting for resuts this week, if all is ok with his heart he will begin donating his own blood for a few wekks at a time incase it is needed during the surgery. Then by the end of this month he will have a graph inserted to replace the damaged value. They will cut him under his breast bone to his pelvic bone and he will have to recouperate for at least 2 months. the doctor said he will be in the hospital for 4-7 days.He is also getting a herina fixed during that surgery. You are all in my prayers. Please make your doctors do a scan ever year,like I said he had to request it and it's been 2 years. Contact me if I can help with any-thing.
