Hi again, I was in terrible shape by the time I got to the rheumatologist last week. It was an effort to move to do anything due to stiffness and fatigue. The pain was terrible but I was tolerating it as the prednisone was decreased to 8 mg. The rheumatologist put me back up to 15 mg. and added 25 mg/daily of Viox. That was Monday morning and after adding the meds that afternoon, by Tuesday morning I was a different person! I am not stiff at all and and I feel like doing things and going places again. It's not perfect...a little pain continues but after what I was tolerating, I feel great! My face did puff up some more after this week though....it had started to slim down a little through the decrease. We are lowering the dosage more slowly this time and will see how things go. I do have to go on a strict diet for diabetes now that I didn't need to do before and physio has set me up for a swim program. All in all life looks a little rosier now. I know though that things could be worse and this will pass some day. Thanks for the support!
