evelyn, i can only speak for myself and what i have learned. sceroderma and it's syptoms can come and go be better or worse without understanding. it also has periods or remisson. i believe i am one of the lucky ones, defined as morphea in the late '70's {no one i met could spell scleroderma} last several years been in "remisson" but now working on new joints. i've seen lots worse, hope you're one of the lucky ones! good luck!
