Chronic insomnia has been with me for 40 years. I have spent thousands of $$ going to one specialist after another. This seems to defy all medical/psychological knowledge. I've tried hot baths, relaxation techniques of all kind, meditation/prayer, acupuncture, herbs, calcium, yoga, soft music, proper diet and exercise, years of counseling, comfortable bed/room and the list goes on. Also, my "inner clock" is not in sinc with the rest of the world. I go to bed around 2:30a.m. and get up about 12:20p.m. needing 10 hours of sleep. The best help available has been from the pharmacy. Don't like to use drugs, but it's that or having no life at all. Have not found any support groups for my particular disorder, which makes life tougher. Would appreciate hearing from any of you who experience this or have a clue of an answer. Thanks!
