Various researches have shown that the skin disorder vitiligo is propably due to an impeded process of breaking down hydrogen peroxide in your skin. About two months ago I started using vitamins that support the catching of "free radicals" - so called anti-oxidants. In this process a multitude of vitamins and supplements might support this process. Especially helpful are: Vitamin B12, Folic Acid, Zink, and Carotin, all well known as anti-oxidants. I take approx. 500mcg of Vitamin B12 (orally), 25mg of folic acid, 10 mg of Zink, Q10 and some other supplemts to help my skin to recolorate. Try to prevent getting yourself into a lot of stress since vitiligo as well is sometimes considered a psychosomatic disease and lots of stress might slow down the process of repigmenting. Try to relax, take your time to do your things and important: Even though sunlight might make our disorder more obvious, do very carefully expose yourself to sunlight. This will support deviding melanin-producing cells in your skin. Make sure that you won't get any sunburn which again causes vitiligo to reoccur rapidly. So far after two months of taking these supplements, some of my white spots started freckling and little colored sport within the white one occured. Don't give up, there are many ways of treating our disorder. A relatively new medication called "Pseudocatalase" has also shown excellent results in repigmenting skin.
