I'm dealing with the same thing right now with my 4 year old son. He is so scared that it is going to hurt that he keeps holding it and holding it. He will go after giving him laxitives but I dont want to get into that routine because i've heard it's dangerous. After he finally goes, we start all over again, holding it for days until he is doubled over with stomach pain. He has had enemas at the hospital and ultrasounds and x-rays of his stomach and there is nothing wrong with him, they say it's just a common psychological thing at this age. Im sorry your going through this too! It has been so stessful on our family. I hope we both get through this soon! Your not alone, my thoughts are with you! I think it's more than just a miracle remedy. Hopefully there is no serious medical problem with you son and he will grow out of it. Thats what I keep telling myself. Hang in there!
