PMS in the early 40's?

Betty

Message 8 of 8 Previous

I've had PMS and bad cramps on and off for over 40 years. Am now 55, and started perimenopause about 7 years ago. I read that, if you have bad menstrual cycles, you will have a better time with perimenopause, and VICE VERSA. I'd like to suggest that you might be smarter than your doctor. My rule of thumb is that I know my own body better than a doctor does. So, I read as much as I can about whatever symptoms I might be having, and then make my own decisions first...BEFORE...making a doctor appt. Another thing that happens is, even after your periods stop, you will continue to have PMS. (I also heard that the younger your periods start, the longer you will have them; and the later they start the lesser time you will get them.)
