My husband was diagnosed with multiple myeloma 2 months ago. At the time he had acute renal failure, was anemic, hyper calcium, hypo magnesium. He does chemo for 5 days every four weeks (pill form - 12 mg. per day. He has a shot every week for his blood, and every 4 weeks he has an IV for bone strengthening. Although we know more about this then we did before he was diagnosed - it still feels like we don't know much. Any info would be appreciated. We have heard that he's really young to have it (53). We have also heard that it could have been caused because he was in Vietnam. He hasn't gone to the VA hospital because he likes his doctors here.
