My 22 month old son has had an eczema-psoriasis like condition since birth. We use homeopathic remedies to treat it because they are non-suppressive and no side effects (use of drugs now can lead to candida-like symptoms in the future). You can go to a good health food store or chemist and get a Dr. Roegwick formula for psoriasis. To ease the itching, give the child a regular bath as follows: blend a cup of oatmeal in the blender. Mix it with a cup of cornstarch and a cup of baking soda. Mix the three ingredients with some cold water. Add it to the bath water. Separately add a cup of apple cider vinegar. This helps heal the skin and ease itching. I also make my own cream to apply during the day to heal the skin and ease itching. It is made as follows: Melt a stick of pure cocoa butterin a double boiler. Add an equal amount of pure, cold pressed olive oil (about one fourth cup). Blend (pulverize) about 10 vitamin b6 tabs with 2 tablespoons of granulated lecithin(good for itching). You can add a drop or two of lavender oil (optional) for a delightful scent. Add the powdered ingredients to the warm oil mixture (as you would add flour to oil t make gravy). Juice a leaf or two of fresh aloe vera. Pour the oil mix into the blender. Blend in the aloe juice. Put in the refrigerator and let solidyfy. This cream can be applied over the whole body.
