I am diagnosed with rta and pituitary diabetes insipidus. I have chronic symptoms that respond to IV fluid I cant find another way that works. Citrate helps, but causes symptoms. Labs often show Na and Cl deficiency and high or low co2 or K and intermittent malnourishment in spite of healthy diet. Also have achlorhydria, lupus, treated sprue, pancreatic insufficiency etc. Don't know where to go for medical care or support. Many doctors turn me down and iend up in er often.
