hi, I think it depends on how much you are taking that is the concern. I had two heathly children on dilantin, 300mg a day with one and 260mg a day with the other. I had a seizure a week after one and a seizure 9 wks pregnant with the other. You really have to monitor your levels. Make sure you see a neuro doc during pregnacy as well as your ob. I am now taking 300mg a day and my levels are on the rise don't know why I get my levels taken every month. Pregnacy changes your chemistry so dilantin can go up and down. I started on 300mg daily 13 yrs ago, levels been between 15-20 now I'm up to 27.something still on 300mg's we are pusszled my neuro doc too.
