I too have RSD. I've had it for almost 3 years. It started in my Right wrist and went up the arm to the left arm. I recently had surgery on my right arm and it was done using a nerve block. I have had no increase in symptoms or spread and it has been over 6 weeks since surgery. There are blocks that can be done. Ask the anesthesioloist or the anesthesia department where you'll be having surgery what can be done. Good luck and keep in touch, I would like to know how you do. I'm here for you. Louise
