migraines/hypoglycemia

My docs tell me the same thing and I am not buying it. If I eat something sugary I am almost certain to get a migraine. I have noticed that just before and during the first part of menstruation, I am also more prone. Maybe it is one of those things where several different things contribute to it. I have had migraines since I was in my early teens and I am now 51. Also I read that sometimes people have "autoimmune hypoglycemia" but I can't find out much about that. I also have pretty severe allergies and Rheumatoid Arthritis both considered to be likely to be autoimmune diseases. I also have pernicious anemia. Also I understand that corticosteroids can play a role in causing hypoglycemia, and I have to take that medication. I sound like a basket case, but I'm not really. I do okay most of the time but the hypoglycemia symptoms are distressing. It just doesn't seem like I need to add anymore to the list. Anyway. I think you are onto something when you notice a relationship between hypoglycemia, migraines, and menstruation cycles. Just because they don't know about it yet doesn't mean it isn't so! Best of luck to you. Paula
