Hi julie, I know your plight did you went and have a pap smear done because it won't show up right of way it take at least 3-4mths and sometimes maybe more depending on your body. I did not know I had and I have been diagnose with it about 3years now and even thou I have it I stil feel ashame and nasty. My x who I have been dating for at least 2yrs I got it from him but I don't think he knew that he have it but I remember seeing small papule on is penis but I did not take it for anything until we broke up and I found out I had it I could of kill myself because I never had an abnormal pap until then. So there is so many people walking around now with HPV and don't even know it because they are looking at a little nodule on the genital area and think of it as nothing but it is something to be concern about and I learnt my lesson the hard way. Sometimes you don't have to have a one night stand for this to happen because there are so many different form of HPV and some comes on your hand one the mouth, the feet etc and just by touching the infected area and touch you genital or mouth etc can cause some reaction.
