I don't know if it's the same thing, but I had a pelvic infection several years ago. The Dr. put me on an anti-biotic for a week and I had strict bed rest. I had to stay in bed at an incline, with the upper body at 45 to 60 degree angle, at all times. The only time I was suppose to get up is to go to the "lady's room". Best of luck to you.
