I saw the message from the lady - You need to see a blood specialist and or Oncology Dr. The only treatment is to have blood taken from you on a regular basis. And if there are any siblings, they need to be tested also. They need to be in their late teens. My husband wasn't so fortunate. The symptoms are vague and only found it out by accident when he had some blood work done because he was swelling in the ankles and the family Dr called and said he was loosing blood somewhere and needed to be checked further to see what was going on. My husband was 64 when it was detected so he already had cirosis of the liver, his splein was affected, and his bone marrow. He had to have his blood count checked every week and taking of blood wasn't doing him much good. He passed away a year and a half ago, so if I can help anyone else out there. I can't stress enough how important it is to be checked out by a specialist and start right away to combat this disease. I would be interested in hearing from any of you out there.
