I have had iritis for approx. 7 years I take one drop of Vexol 1% in the morning and one drop at night every day which seems to keep it mostly under control ...my left eye (that has the iritis) hurts most of the time and I get like a headache but it is concentrated in that eye. Two of my sisters have it too as it is associated with as akyolosing spondilitis (spelling?) and we have that. Be careful to get a good doctor...I had iritis for a long time before I knew it and that eye is now legally blind --I had a detached retina due to the iritis and didn't know it..had it for too long so when they repaired it I didn't get the sight back... I have pain meds (ultram) and naprelan that help..there is no cure... don't drink if you can help it as that aggravates the iritis...get plenty of water--use lubricating eye drops if your eye gets dry (as mine does) good look ...you must learn to live with it. or maybe you will be one of the lucky few who get over it and it doesn't come back...i hope so!
