I'm 42 yrs. old. I have had hives that come and stay for a week and then go away and come back somewhere else. This has been going on for 14 months, since I had my 4th child by ceserian section. I am also breast feeding. I have been seen by the best dermatologist within 500 miles and all they can do for me is antihistimine. I've never has skin problems before this. One strange fact...an aquaitance of a relative had a hysterectomy at the same hospital in which I had my c-section approximately one month after. She is experiencing the same odd symptoms that I am experiencing---hives that come and go plus edema in different parts of our bodies, for her its her face and eyes, for me its my feet and legs. Any possible relationship between the hives and the surgeries, hospital, anesthesia, breast feeding? Can one take Zyrtec indefinitely?
